The role of Assistant Principal at Windham Primary School is a responsibility that veteran educator Diana Jordan takes seriously. Diana Jordan is entering her seventh year as the Assistant Principal for Windham Primary
School. She is originally from West Baldwin and is in her 27th year overall as an
educator.

Starting in 2019, a violin was donated to the Mike Block String Camp in Vero Beach, FL. in honor of Daniel Pearl, a journalist and violinist who was killed in 2002 in Pakistan. Daniel's family has set up a foundation in his name that sponsors thousands of concerts in a year in his memory during World Music Days, as well as nurturing people's love of writing. Every year at camp, one student is selected to be awarded this violin to use for one year with the goal of spreading Daniel's love of music in their community. AJ Ruth knew from the moment that she taught her first seventh-grade class that she would always be a middle school educator. As she enters her 21st year in education, with 19 at Windham Middle School serving as a science and math teacher, Ruth remains with the age group that stole her heart in the earliest years of her career. Only now, she has moved from teaching students at WMS to leading them and her colleagues as the new WMS Assistant Principal, replacing Peter Hill.

It’s more good news for the school lunch program in Windham and Raymond. RSU 14 has been awarded a Healthy Meals Incentive Grant of $124,170 that will allow for upgrades in cooking, staffing, and preparation equipment in several kitchens.

When most people think about schools and summer vacations, relaxing and fun times come to mind. However, for the RSU 14 Facilities Department, this is certainly not the case and over a period of about 10 weeks, the summer deep cleaning, major maintenance, and improvement projects must be completed.

RSU 14 Windham Raymond Schools will experience a TWO hour delay today. All buses will be running two hours late. Please take this into
consideration for your students transportation plans for the day.

RSU 14 has learned that it will receive up to $150,000 as part of a cooperative agreement to develop and implement the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Healthy Meals Initiative aiming to improve the quality and nutrition of meals offered in local schools.
